Dr. Rohan Nethsinghe works as lecturer in the School of Education at the RMIT University and has completed music degrees in the Ukraine teacher education in Australia including a PhD in Education at the Monash University. His research concerns Multicultural music education; Contextualization and Authenticity of music; Sustainability of culture & traditions; Artists in schools/residence and Professional Development for teachers, Different modes of teaching and learning in Arts (music), Health wellbeing/positive ageing and music engagement; lifelong learning. Rohan has published in international and national refereed journals and reviews for a number of well-respected journals. He has presented papers both nationally and internationally and has also won several prestigious scholarships and awards for this teaching and research.
